When CJ was two years old, he put an entire box of Sun-Maid raisins in his nose. When his babysitting grandfather was asked why he did not intervene, he replied “I thought he should know how many would fit.” That episode set the tone for the curiosity that drives his personal and professional lives.

CJ’s curiosity inspired him to begin his career as a middle school science teacher through Teach for America. He then continued his career in education, helping launch an education startup that taught computer programming to thousands of New York City students. CJ still loves to help others learn and has supported dozens of students in standardized tests, nearly every academic subject, and MBA admissions.

A recent MBA graduate from Kellogg Northwestern, CJ is obsessed with understanding the next technological and societal trends. During business school he worked in venture capital and high-tech agriculture – he is also a member of the Mars Society and last quarter completed a study on the financial feasibility of Martian colonization. CJ received Dean's List honors every quarter of enrollment and graduated with distinction. This fall he looks forward to helping clients understand what is coming next as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York.

CJ grew up in a small coastal North Carolina town and now lives in New York. In his free time, CJ can be found consulting for VCs and startups, playing soccer, or reading anything he can get his hands on related to American presidents.
